Ok, let me be honest with you. I have used Shaklee before. My uncle sells it. He believes in it and I believe in him. However, and there is a however, spending money on cleaning supplies that I’m sure work is a hard hit to the wallet. It is no secret on and off line that have had my share of health issues. What Shaklee believes, (although they have a long string of health products and it is spring cleaning time) and I truly believe is that health isn’t just about what you put in your body; it’s about everything around you. I find this evident when I am around high fumed items.

I was recently given some Shaklee products to review at no expense to me. I am still learning about them but so far this is what I have learned:

· No strong fumes come from what I was given.

· The Shaklee line features “Basic H2® Organic Super Cleaning Concentrate” – just 1/4 tsp. makes 16oz. of all-purpose cleaner; it also can make a window cleaner and a degreaser.

Let’s talk about making a positive impact on the planet. Shaklee is aiming to keep 108 pounds of packaging waste from landfills, and Eliminate 248 pounds of greenhouse gas (based upon comparing a number of uses as set forth on product labels of conventional, ready-to-use cleaners.)

My friend Tanya one day assessed my cabinets. I purged, yet somehow refilled them with the same stuff I feel is negatively effecting my body every day (let alone my boys). I am not sure if it is the convenience of super market availability or just out of plain habit. How did I end up with this, again?

All of them were under mine. All of them!

Now, I believe some things were meant for tough rings around the toilet and sometimes bleach is needed (old habits die hard). But that doesn’t mean I won’t try to do my best to clean it green and mean it.
